Holding the summer light
Neon orange, neon pink, rose, and yellow flow in gentle transitions toward the center of this work. There, the colors coalesce into an intense concentration—like a luminous core radiating warmth and energy. Holding the Summer Light is my attempt to capture the fleeting magic of summer: the glow of a long evening, the power of sunbeams on the skin, the feeling of wanting to capture and preserve light.
This work is part of my series Beneath the Summer Sky, in which I translate the moods of summer into color. While many works in the series depict the sky in its vastness, movement, and lightness, here everything is condensed at the center, like a focus on the essential, a moment of clarity and concentration.
The intense colors are achieved through high-quality acrylic paints with a high pigment density. A special finish protects the surface, ensuring that the vibrancy lasts for years. The canvas is set in a narrow frame made of solid oak, giving the artwork a clean, natural finish.
